Premier League: Sergio to start scoring…

There’s a bonus Premier League match on tonight as Manchester City bring forward their game against Everton as they will shortly be playing in the Carabao Cup final.

The defending Premier League champions were impressive in dismissing Arsenal on Sunday and have responded well to having to chase Liverpool at the top of the league.

Everton, by contrast, are in a bit of a rut, having lost three of their last four home league games. In fact, since the beginning of December, only Huddersfield and Fulham have earned fewer league points that the Toffees.

This all points to a City win, and the question is how to profit from this.

The obvious place to start is with Sergio Aguero. The Argentinian star looked back to his best in scoring a hat trick against Arsenal on the weekend, his second game in the row opening the scoring. We think he offers good value at 7/2 that he scores first again.

With a game against Chelsea on the weekend, he could be benched tonight. In that case we would get our money back if there was a goal scored before his appearance, or he would come on to a goalless game with City likely dominating and chasing a winner – i.e. still in with a good shout!

Recommendations: Aguero to score first, 1 pt, at 7/2, BetFred
