Champions League: Seeing Raphael in a new light…

There is more Champions League action tonight, with Tottenham hosting Borussia Dortmund being the highlight.

Spurs have done very well to stay in the Premier League title race given the absence of key players Dele Alli and in particular Harry Kane. But, as we saw last night with PSG’s beating of Manchester United, the Champions League is a step up and players of that quality are likely to be missed badly. After all Kane has been involved in almost half of the goals Spurs have scored in this competition over the last three years!

Dortmund arrive top of the Bundesliga and brim full of confidence. Yes, they too have injuries, but as the away team they can afford to play a waiting game and look to pick Spurs off. And I’m not convinced about the Tottenham back line, particularly with Danny Rose likely to miss out through injury. The game could go either way but we think Spurs will concede.

Raphael Guerreiro plays mainly at left back but sometimes in midfield for Dortmund. But crucially he has scored four of Dortmund’s last five goals in the Champions League, and can be found at 6/1 to score anytime. We’ll take a punt.

Recommendations: Guerreiro to score anytime, 1 pt, at 6/1, Paddy Power
