The highlight of tonight’s Premier League program is the televised London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham.
Both teams have something to prove after their last performances – Spurs need to rebound from Saturday’s defeat by Burnley while Chelsea lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City on Sunday.
We think the extra day’s recovery and the fact Chelsea had to go through extra time on a tiring Wembley pitch gives Tottenham the advantage. It’s true they have a poor record at Stamford Bridge, but they did end a 30-match winless run in the corresponding fixture last year. And they have won three out of the last four league fixtures, while registering the best away record in the league this season.
The return from injury by star forward Harry Kane is a boost, but we’ll take a chance that Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen nets during the game.
Recommendations: Eriksen scores anytime, 1 pt, at 9/2, Paddy Power
