The Champions League returns tonight, with Tottenham traveling to Germany to take on Borussia Dortmund with an impressive three goal advantage.
Spurs haven’t been playing very well of late – only a late missed penalty prevented them from losing their third league game on the trot against Arsenal on Saturday. But surely they can’t blow this lead. It’s not like Dortmund have been flying themselves – they lost to Augsburg last time out and have won only one of their last seven.
We think home advantage is likely to be important, with Dortmund set to come flying out of the blocks. They will have been boosted by the return from injury of German international Marco Reus. But this will also give Tottenham a chance on the break.
With all this in mind, we’ll take Dortmund to win but with both teams scoring, although Spurs are still likely to go through.
Recommendations: Dortmund to win with both teams scoring, 1 pt, at 5/2, Paddy Power
