NAP OF THE DAY: Parlour Maid, (1715 Exeter), 1pt win, 11/4 generally available
Amongst plenty of horses searching to find their best form, Parlour Maid stands out a mile. 2 from 3 over fences and absolutely flying, she won well at Market Rasen, the second has won since and a 7lb rise looks manageable. Should have no issue with the ground.
Field Exhibition, (1415 Exeter), 5/2: when the rain gets in the ground at Exeter it can get very testing. That may help Field Exhibition, a mare in the form of her life, who goes in the soft but steps from one extreme to the other 3m to 2m, and Musselburgh to Exeter. She has hot favourite Smarty Wild to beat, but we’re not sure his opening mark of 120 is that much of a gift.
Tudors Treasure, (1545 Exeter), 10/1: his one win was on soft at Ffos Las off 99. returned this season after a failed attempt at chasing and after a poor first run, was spotted running in nicely to late at Kempton last time. Has been droppe md to a historically low 95, and this longer trip and soft ground should help. Bottom weight bound to be helpful on testing ground.
Garrane, (1615 Exeter), 7/2: was in great form at Chepstow and here on soft ground, finishing runner up to subsequent winners and massive ratings improvers Glen Forsa and The Two Amigos. Easy to forgive pulling up last time on a very different test around sharp Wincanton on good ground. Back with everything in his favour here.
