NAP OF THE DAY: West Coast Time, (1615 Naas), 1pt win, 4/1 generally available
Very few horses have caught the eye like this one when screaming home from a mile back to be runner up to a stablemate in a nice Gowran handicap. Up 4lbs for that but could have tons in hand if he can improve for that first run in over a year. Stable remains in excellent form.
Kaiser Black, (1545 Naas), 2/1: left his progressive handicap form behind when stepped up in class in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown last ice bustling up the top class La Bague Au Roi. Steps down in class here and the presence of the useful Mullins mare Camelia De Cotte helps keep the price attractive.
Sheneedetherun, (1555 Warwick), 7/2: has a great record here, winning a decent mares’ race in 2018 before finishing runner up in that same race last month. That was a first run for trainer Pauling and jockey De Boinville, they will have learnt plenty about her there, and any progress should make her hard to beat.
Wishmoor, (1650 Naas), 5/1: hadn’t shown much this season having signed off last year with a fluent win at this track. Burst back to life at Punchestown where only the useful Dounkios could catch him. Gets a crucial swing in the weights, an advantageous shorter trip, and the excellent Rachael Blackmore on board, all of which can help turn the tables.
