Monday Yankee: Fuw due?…

Last chance to line the pockets before the biggest week of the year….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Fuwairt, (1900 Kempton), 1pt win, 10/1 generally available

Won here on second run after switch from Ireland.  That was a last to first tactical masterclass from apprentice Cameron Noble. Wasn’t able to do that at Lingfield, a less suitable track, but back here with an inside stall and guaranteed pace from the likes of Corazon Espinado, and the set up is right to go close again at a good price.

Knight Crusader, (1930 Kempton), 11/2:  favourite Elysees Palace will be hoping to improve for an extra half mile here, but Knight Crusader is a 2m bumper winner and will almost certainly improve on his 12f maiden form now in his first handicap  and over 2m.  Top jockey Adam Kirby keeps the ride and they can give the favourite plenty of problems.

Harry Callahan, (2000 Kempton), 11/8:  old Dirty Harry can be tricky to win with, but he landed he odds at Chelmsford last time, has a good record here, and stays just inside the ratings against a moderate bunch.  Ought to make our day.

Chief Sittingbull, (2030 Kempton), 11/2:  another to have come from jumping.  Hasn’t shown much in flat runs to date but first time cheekpieces could work the oracle at this low level.  Likely to be ridden aggressively in his new headgear and may prove hard to pass for hot favourite First Call whose head carriage would urge caution.
