It’s the sixth round of the FA Cup this weekend, and both Manchester clubs take part in live televised games.
Manchester City take the field first, taking on Swansea in South Wales. The Premier League leader will be the obvious favourite today, fresh from an impressive win in the Champions League midweek.
City played Swansea twice last season, as the Welsh club were relegated, and won 5-0 and 4-0. Assuming a strong side is selected, and Pep Guardiola has been playing largely a first choice team in the FA Cup ties after last year’s loss to Wigan, Manchester City should win again today.
Getting a healthy price on City goal scorers is tricky, but we’ll take a punt on Phil Foden as the last goal scorer.
The late tie sees Manchester United travel to the Midlands to take on Wolves. United lost last week at Arsenal for the first time domestically under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but they created enough chances to win.
It won’t be easy to win at Molineux – Wolves have been impressive and drew at Old Trafford in the league earlier this season before beating Liverpool in this competition – but there is a buoyant atmosphere surrounding United and we think they will win today.
We’ll take midfielder Paul Pogba to score during the match, and think the 11/4 on offer suggests value.
Swansea/Man City: Foden to be last goal scorer, 1 pt, at 10/1, bet365
Wolves/Man United: Pogba to score anytime, 1 pt, at 11/4, BoyleSports
