Sunday Yankee: Mos to boss…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Moskovite, (1435 Limerick), 1pt win, 11/4 generally available

Denis Hogan’s mare was rapidly progressive in handicaps before raising her sights to this Grade 3 level at Clonmel last time.  Whilst a soundly beaten third, the two in front were first and third in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham last eeek, which makes this  Grade 3 look very winnable.

Father Jed, (1540 Limerick), 9/2:   recorded back to back wins in 2016, and that habit of bursts of form has been evident again with two recent wins sandwiching a good runner-up effort.  The last win at Gowran was  very creditable given he didn’t get the best of runs.  Can land one more before the handicapper gets a grip.

Dakota Moirette, (1650 Limerick), 9/4:  has been running well in 2m novice and handicap chases and has a mark of 128.  That leaves him 20lbs behind a favourite of ours, Mall Dini.  But that horse is a thorough stayer and may not run much above 128 at this trip.  He could find Dakota simply too fast even in this mud.

Capacurry Zak, (1725 Limerick), 4/1:  has course form of 6521P112, which includes winning this race last year on heavy ground.  Has the same conditions today, and is just 6lbs higher.  Looked in recent form here over hurdles last time and we suspect this has been the target for some time.
