Premier League: Ritchie faces yellow peril…

There is Monday night football in the Premier League tonight, with Arsenal hosting Newcastle.

The Gunners have won all of their six home games in the league this year and have a cracking record against today’s opponents, winning 11 of their last 12 league games. This suggests a likely home win tonight.

However, Arsenal’s twin strike force of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are short in price to score and the rest of the attacking talent is uncertain of starting. Thus we’re going to look elsewhere for today’s bet.

Newcastle midfielder/wingback Matt Ritchie has been booked eight times this season, but crucially five times in 12 away games and twice in four away matches against the so-called ‘big six’. Throw in the fact that tonight’s referee Anthony Taylor has already booked him twice in the two away games he has refereed and we should be looking at a price of just above evens.

However, BetVictor is offering the princely price of 16/5. This seems to us too good to turn down, so we won’t!

Recommendation: Ritchie to be booked anytime, 1 pt, at 16/5, BetVictor
