The sporting day may be centred around Aintree, certainly as far as betting is concerned, but there is also the first FA Cup semifinal at Wembley to enjoy.
Manchester City take on Brighton this evening, hoping this is another successful step towards an unprecedented four trophy season.
City are on an impressive run, winning 21 of their last 22 games, including claiming the Carabao Cup on penalties. They have also won eight of their last nine FA Cup semifinals, have scored an unrivalled 19 goals in the competition this year and have won all three Premier League matches between the two clubs. They are the outstanding favourite for this tie.
That said, the bookies know all of this and the odds surrounding City and their goal scorers are very crimped. So we’ll look elsewhere.
Brighton may be underdogs but they are not without a puncher’s chance. They have to keep things tight, work hard and rely on set pieces for chances. With this in mind, we’re going to take a punt on a blog favourite, Shane Duffy. The big central defender is quoted as high as 22/1 to score at anytime, and that’s where our money lies.
Recommendations: Duffy to score anytime, 1 pt, at 22/1, Unibet
