There is a Premier League match tonight, as Watford entertain Arsenal.
This is a tricky game to predict. The Gunners lost the equivalent game last season (more about this later), but had won their previous four visits to Vicarage Road. This season, though, their away form has been poor, winning just two of their last 12 away fixtures in all competitions.
Watford have had a very good season. They have won three successive home league fixtures and haven’t lost here since Boxing Day. But they have a FA Cup final coming up shortly to consider.
Instead of trying to guess the result we’ll look at the potentially feisty nature of the game. Both sides are in the top half of the bookings table, indeed Watford could go top with three yellows today. Additionally referee Craig Pawson is not afraid of getting his cards out when required.
And then there’s last year’s match. Watford won 2-1 with a late goal. Captain Troy Deeney implied after the game that he bullied the Arsenal defenders and they hadn’t physically been up for the fight. This created controversy, and it will be interesting to see how these said players respond today.
We think there could be some aggression in the game, and we’ll take the 19/4 on offer that there is a red card.
Recommendations: Red card in the match, 1 pt, at 19/4, Unibet
