This evening sees Manchester United heading to Barcelona, trying to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
There will be a lot of talk surrounding manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his return to the Nou Camp, the venue of United’s 1999 European Cup miracle, but this United side is not a patch on that team.
It’s true United pulled off a tremendous comeback to dismiss PSG in the last round, but this Barcelona side is a lot more reliable – they are unbeaten in 30 home Champions League games, the longest such run in the competition, conceding just 15 goals in the process.
This tends to suggest United will find it difficult to score tonight, as they failed to do at Old Trafford. But the reverse doesn’t apply. Barcelona don’t have trouble scoring, not with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez up front.
A 2-0 home win is priced best at 15/2, but we’ll take the 19/2 on offer that the home team win 3-0.
Recommendations: Barcelona to win 3-0, 1 pt, at 19/2, BetVictor
