Back to winning ways with yesterday’s nap Prince Dundee (2/1) making all at Hexham.

NAP OF THE DAY: Tommy Taylor, (1350 Newmarket), 1pt win, 8/I 1 generally available
He has a bit to find on his reappearance 6th when 2 spots behind today’s favourite Green Power. But Tommy was slowly away there and finished well – a better start, and this stiffer track should help close the gap, and his career best probably came on the July course here. Looks a decent price to come good.
Maqsad, (1315 Newmarket), 5/2: ran really well to chase home Sunday Star on debut, would be odds-on for this but for her second run being a bomb out at Yarmouth. May be worth trusting this seasonal debut to go more like that debut run, in which case she may have too much for favourite Twist’N’Shake.
Kadar, (1500 Newmarket), 4/1: favourite Western Australia holds a verdict over Kick On, but both may struggle to hold the unexposed promise of the once raced maiden winner Kadar. He looked extremely good that day, and whilst this is a step up, his able yard usually have one decent one at least each year and coming straight into this decent event suggests some confidence.
Angel’s Hideaway, (1535 Newmarket), 9/2: was a busy 2yo just below top notch. Possibly should have won here on her last start when narrowly beaten by Mot Juste. Gets a 3lb pull and will be sharp enough first time for top trainer John Gosden. Main Edition is the likely chief rival but Angel’s can do her for finishing kick.
