Sunday Yankee: Dell the boy at Ffos Las

Another winning nap yesterday as our hopes for an improved Austrian School (4/1) were realised in an easy Musselburgh romp. Following Friday’s nap, Oh This Is Us (5/1), we’ll be aiming for the hat-trick again today….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Dell’ Arca, (1620 Ffos Las), 1pt win, 8/1 generally available

He has some interesting back class that has earned him top weight in this company despite some patchy recent form. Most of his best form is on a decent surface and having struggled on a typically wet Uttoxeter surface last time, he can spring back to life now the ground has dried.

Darver Star, (1420 Fairyhouse), 11/2:  absolutely blitzed a field at Wexford recently for a 10l win.  Looked much improved and is lightly raced.  A 13lb hike and a jump up in class are obvious challenges, but that scepticism is reflected in the bookies pricing, but he may just be on the rapid rise.

Honeysuckle, (1450 Fairyhouse), 2/1:  this mare is unbeaten in her four career runs and was set to be a warm Cheltenham favourite until a setback ruled her out.  Comes here fresh as a result and she can emphasise the Cheltenham disappointment by beating the winner there Eglantine Du Seuil.

Legal History, (1525 Plumpton), 3/1:  followed a fine run at Newbury with two easy wins at Ascot and Exeter.  His weight has been adjusted accordingly, but as a juvenile he has plenty of room to keep improving and although this is a step up, he can take it in his stride.
