Premier League: Stephens to pick up yellow…

The Premier League continues tonight, with the televised game being the clash between Tottenham and Brighton.

Spurs are right in the battle for a top four spot in the Premier League, and will see this match as an opportunity to claim three points and cement third spot. Although they lost to Manchester City on Saturday, they should still be ripe with confidence after qualifying for the semifinals of the Champions League.

Brighton also have a lot to play for. They are realistically Cardiff’s only rival for the final relegation spot, and have hit a flat spot at the wrong time. They only have one draw from their last six matches, and have failed to score in any of those games.

It’s difficult to see past Spurs winning this match, but they could make some changes given the attritional nature of their two games against City. That said, Brighton will be desperate for points and that could give the game an edge, particularly in the highly competitive midfield.

Dale Stephens is Brighton’s most booked player this season, and has seen yellow twice in his last five league matches. He is priced at 4/1 to be booked tonight, and we’ll be on that.

Recommendations: Stephens to be booked, 1 pt, at 4/1, SkyBet
