Tuesday Yankee: Time for a Mr tickle…

Another National won by the hit favourite yesterday.  Well done to Willie Mullins for his 1-2-3, we were thankful that most bookies paid to 6th as that is exactly where 33/1 each way fancy Roaring Bull finished allowing for a doubling of money on the main event.

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Mr Adjudicator, (1640 Fairyhouse), 1pt win, 9/2 generally available

The County Hurdle is the big clue here. Favourite Countister did much the best but we’re not convinced she’ll repeat that form here. We were nearly brave enough, but not quite, to take big outsider and fast ground lover High Expectations, but the safer call is man-of-the-moment Willie Mullins and Mr Adjudicator. He ran well at Cheltenham and is just the sort that Willie keeps fresh for the festival season.

Surf Instructor, (1540 Fairyhouse), 11/4:  first rule in a race confined to women jockeys – where is Rachael Blackmore.  The outstanding jockey, already a winner at Cheltenham, Aintree and here, is gold dust here, and is on top of Surf Instructor.  It helps that the horse is in decent form himself and the combination should be hard to beat.

My Sister Sarah, (1610 Fairyhouse), 6/1: significant that she was Ruby’s pick (wrongly) of Willie’s big team for the Cheltenham mares novice, and significant that the response to that one-paced effort is an immediate step up to 3 miles.  The stable is flying and she can add to the tally.

Coastal Tiep, (1715 Fairyhouse), 14/1:  this hunter chase looks ripe for an upset. Favourite Road to Riches is not the horse he was and Ucello Conti is not one to trust. Coastal Tiep has something to find with both of them but should love this quicker ground, and looks overpriced.
