NAP OF THE DAY: Gopsies Daughter, (1645 Curragh), 1pt win, 16/1:
Won twice here in mid summer last year including off this mark. Has been generously dropped back to that level despite showing some promise last time at Naas. Her young jockey claims a useful 10lbs which has added impact over these sprint trips, and she looks set to run well at a big price.
Where’s Jeff, (1615 Beverley), 10/3: ran with promise first time up this season but looks ready now for this step up in trip. Should go well around this track and looks a more trusty stayer than favourite Ventura Gold.
Reverberation, (1720 Curragh), 11/1: ex English and a winner over a mile at Dundalk since switching to Ireland. Ran a race full of promise when staying on over an inadequate 6f at Naas last time, and this return to 7f may be just what he needs.
Laughifuwant, (1750 Curragh), 8/1: lightly raced and was having only his third handicap run on reappearance when a close second to a horse who was over a stone well in on hindsight. In that context a 3lb rise is manageable and for a horse who improves with each run last year we have to believe there is more in the locker.
