Friday Yankee: Darling Puds of May…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Puds, (1605 Goodwood), 1pt win, 4/1:

4yo filly who looks to have improved again this season with form of 1321.  That last win was here over 5f and being a narrow win she has only 4lbs extra here.  She was always winning that day and had to be patient for  late run, as such it was easier than it looked and the 4lbs should be no issue.  Has won over 6f so this extra trip should never fine.

Rydan, (1640 Goodwood), 11/2:  a good handicap and both Knight Crusader and October Storm have wins in them of their marks, but maybe not today.  We prefer recent course winner Rydan.  He looked really good that day and a 6lb rise in no way reflects his superiority.  A mark of 78 is still generous historically and he can go in again.

Bullington Boy, (1700 Haydock), 11/4:  trainer Jane Chappell-Hyam often gets a well handicapped sort, and this fella looked the part on handicap debut at Newmarket recently.  Conspicuously unlucky there in a decent race, that should have sharpened him up and this is definitely an easier task.

Musharrif, (2000 Pontefract), 2/1:  left his form behind when storming home last Sunday. Goes unpenalised for winning that apprentice race and has a course and distance back catalogue win.  Hard to see him being beaten given any luck in running.
