Thursday Yankee: Three and easy?

Nap-trick landed !!  After Wise Words (11/2) and Inspired Thought (5/2), Global Spirit (7/2) pounced late at Hamilton on Wednesday to land the three-in-a-row…..can we make it four?…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Three Castles, (1810 Carlisle), 1pt win, 5/2:

This is a pretty weak race with little form on show. Three of the runners managed 4th in handicaps on debut but by far the most eye catching of those was Three Castles whose 4th at Musselburgh screamed with promise for the bang in form Dalgleish yard.  He can take this in what could be a fruitful Summer campaign.

Make Me, (1540 Wetherby), 4/1:  was looking a professional loser after 6 narrow defeats in a row before finally coming good at the end of last season.  His comeback third was very decent and he may just be the type to go on now he has matured another year, in which case his mark is potentially generous.

Listen To The Wind, (1650 Yarmouth), 11/4: looked promising in her first two runs last year but was very disappointing on reappearance. Bred to do much better and the soft surface there may have been the problem so it’s worth forgiving her now she gets firmer conditions.  This race should not take much winning.

Angel’s Whisper, (1720 Yarmouth), 9/2:  has hardly seen a racetrack for a 4yo, and was duly 66/1 when a good 5th on return at Kempton. Should have built on that but for being left at the start here last time, still finishing 3rd and gets dropped a pound.  Can go one better if getting away a bit more smartly.
