England take on Pakistan this morning in the World Cup, a second game in the group stage for both teams.
The two sides had very different results in their opening games – England dismissed South Africa with little fuss at the Oval while Pakistan collapsed against a fast bowling barrage by the West Indies at today’s venue, Trent Bridge.
And it’s that second match which interests up today. England will have seen how Pakistan struggled against the short ball in losing to the West Indies and are sure to test them again.
England have won the toss and will bowl and look likely to let new boy Jofra Archer fire down a few bumpers. He looked impressive against the Saffers, taking three wickets on a slow pitch, and could be even more problematic on this surface.
He’s 14/1 to be man of the match, and we’ll take a chance he blows the Pakistan top order away.
Recommendations: Archer to be man of the match, 1 pt, at 14/1, SkyBet
