Tuesday Yankee: Spirit double?

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Global Spirit, (1920 Thirsk), 1pt win, 8/1:

Landed a nap for us last time when a ready winner at Hamilton. Now up 6lbs but has scope to improve further on his third start for his new yard who often improve runners repeatedly.

So Near So Farrh, (1700 Lingfield), 9/4:  a filly we know well having followed he closely last year as she improved for long trips and soft ground.  Started this season well on unsuitable tracks or ground, but was a clear disappointment at Carlisle last time.  Worth drawing a line through that experiment with pace-setting, and on all previous form she would be a good thing here.

Motahassen, (1830 Carlisle), 7/4:  won easily last week and gets to run off a pound lower as he is unpenalised for that apprentice race win.  Should go in again with everything in his favour and arguably an easier race to win.

Le Musee, (2100 Carlisle), 5/2:  disappointed us last time when never getting involved at Lingfield.  In hindsight that 14f test on quick ground was probably too sharp for a 3m soft ground hurdle winner.  Today’s race looks much more the fit and he should improve enormously.
