The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Jazeel, (1600 Sandown), 1pt win, 3/1:
Looks generously treated off 92 having been runner up in two decent races on his runs this season off 90 and 91. From his Newmarket seasonal debut, the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th have all won, whilst he reopposes the third Exec Chef on 3lbs better terms despite beating him a length. He does reoppose the winner there Elector on the same terms but can find that neck on the basis of Spencer in the saddle rather than an apprentice, and better form than Elector since. That form being a superb second at Epsom (Elector 8th), where the 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th have all won since. Rock solid credentials.
Elarqam, (1525 Sandown), 7/4: we picked this guy for a Listed race at Royal Ascot and he ran an excellent third. This is nominally the same grade but nothing like as strong a race and he looks a good thing. Royal Line is top on adjusted weights but may not run up to his best rating on his seasonal debut. The rest have plenty to find.
Magical Spirit, (1820 Haydock), 7/2: won for us last time in comfy fashion at Ripon having previously run a well handicapped rival close at Redcar. Up 7lbs, but this course should suit and he is still improving. Favourite Kapono has plenty to prove on turf having bombed earlier this week at Catterick
Arcanada, (2030 Haydock), 3/1: won here last time having overcome a stumble leaving the stalls. Has won back to back on three previous occasions and seems to like this track having placed or won on all three appearances here.
