The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Nicholas T, (1605 Ayr), 1pt win, 7/4:
Usually hits form at some point in mid summer and usually hits it at this track. Signalled that he is about to do so last time when finishing well but just unable to catch a well weighted 3yo who got first run at Hamilton. Back on his favourite stomping ground and off a historically lenient mark he looks a good thing.
Cockalorum, (1430 Ayr), 3/1: lightly raced import from Ireland he was fairly quiet on seasonal debut. However, there was tons of promise in his next run in a big field at York when staying on well to finish fourth. This isn’t as strong a race as that one, and he looks to be coming to the boil.
Followme Followyou, (1505 Ayr), 6/1: a lightly raced 3yo filly whose first dabbles with handicaps have been pretty ordinary. Last time was slightly better and the extra trip here can only help. Has received some leniency from the handicapper and her trainer remains in flying form, she should go close off this mark.
Global Spirit, (1640 Ayr), 11/4: has been effective at 6f this season but ran a great race at this trip when not getting much luck at Haydock on Thursday. That form should be enough to triumph here where this similarly sharp flat 7f looks ideal.
