Wednesday Yankee: All Right now…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: All Right, (1640 Lingfield), 1pt win, 7/2:

A lightly raced 3yo filly, she made her handicap debut at Chepstow last time and showed here first real form. Her fourth leaves her a bit to find with reopposing third Sari Mareis. Whilst a 3lb weight pull helps, it’s tactics that suggest a reversal. All Right was just behind a strong pace at Chepstow, and did much the best of those up there, even leading until the last half furling when understandably weakening away. A more well judged pace from veteran Dane O’Neill should see her in much stronger light.

Landing Night, (1630 Catterick), 4/1: tempting to put up last week’s course runner up and 3yo The Defiant – but he loves to boss his races and may get prssed by front running course lover Indian Pursuit. A battle there should set things up for another Catterick legend in Landing Night, who looked to be in good shape in a tough race last time and has three course wins here to his credit, roll on the fourth.

Hart Stopper, (1730 Yarmouth), 11/4: has two wins and a second in three course appearances. The second was just last week in a strong contest for the track. Gets to run off the same rating here, which is a pound well in, and has the assistance of Hayley Turner who rides this track well and is an asset in a women jockey’s race. Nay have too much for the 3yo Inspired Thought who comes here off her worst run of a busy season.

Trueba, (1945 Fairyhouse), 6/1: had been knocking on the door after some good first handicap runs before coming good in a field of 22 over 6f at Naas last time. That is a stiff 6f and he was at his best in the closing stages, suggesting 7f here should be ideal. Seemed to have a bit in hand last time and although raised 8lbs he is still very much on a basement level rating. Has been much luckier with the draw than his main market rivals and can put that to good use with any luck in running.
