Kerching !! 25/1 One Cool Yankee….

We had been bemoaning plenty of bad luck all week at the twin hands of fate that are the twisty turns of both Galway and Goodwood, hoping that things would change, and so they did with 3 wins and a third on today’s recommended Yankee.

The first sign of a change of fortune was a charmed run up the rails for our opening pick Forest Of Dean (5/1 early, 4/1 SP), jockey Harry Bentley doing a great impersonation of Moses (but without the overweight) in parting the opposition and nipping through for the win.

The wind left our sails briefly as nap Band Of Outlaws did as well as he could in an uncharacteristically slowly run Galway Hurdle, but that best only being good enough for a close third.

But then the twin strikes, first at Goodwood with a clean last to first run for the in form Celcius (15/2 early, 11/2 SP). Then to Galway where the twice in a week theory panned out in style when Tuesday’s winner One Cool Poet (5/1 early, 4/1 SP) carved his way through again from last to first to etch a place in Galway legend.

All told, a return on totals staked of upwards of 25/1 (price dependent), again proving the power of getting all your luck at the same time. Hopefully there is some left over for the rest of the week !!

Stay tuned….
