What was and what might have been…
Yesterday’s recommended Yankee was a true roller coaster ride. It started with a down when Black Kalanisi (8/1) ran a blinder only to be unlucky to be touched off by the tiniest margin in a photo finish. Then there was the first up, courtesy of the Brighton stewards, who agreed he was unlucky and rightly promoted him to a winner !!
Then the ups continued, as first All Right (6/4) gained compensation for an unlucky defeat when carrying our nap last time by winning easily at Yarmouth. Then the day’s nap December Second (4/1) absolutely stormed home for a wide margin win that justified our confidence.
All eyes were on last leg Blue Medici to deliver the full house but all he managed was a one-paced well beaten second in a race run at a desperately slow pace that didn’t suit him at all.
Still a very exciting day and a return on the Yankee of around 16 times total stakes, as well as the return on the winning nap itself.
Worth checking if today’s Yankee can deliver the goods….
