The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Stallone, (1650 Leicester), 1pt win, 9/2:
Has only one win which came on heavy ground. Subsequent close third on soft at Salisbury has worked out amazingly well and it is worth excusing defeats on the all weather and firm ground. A mark of 66 looks very workable and with the ground likely to be favourable he looks ready to add to his account.
Mistress Of Venice, (1510 Tipperary), 8/1: nine efforts to break her duck finally ended with a win here on soft ground. Two defeats afterwards have come in much stronger races. This is her handicap debut and a mark of 76 should be very competitive.
Youceeyouceecee, (1615 Tipperary), 8/1: a tricky race but Youcee’s five career wins (including here) have all come on soft ground. Was second on soft ground reappearance before running with credit on unsuitable quick ground at the Curragh. Will love all and any rain.
One Boy, (1725 Leicester), 7/2: has plenty of winning soft ground form but has been on the decline to a now career low mark. Trainer Midgley has been striking with these sorts regularly of late, and the decline stopped with a runner-up effort at Ayr. Looks ready to strike.
