Premier League: Sterling opportunity…

The champions start today’s televised Premier League feast, with Manchester City traveling to the south coast to take on Bournemouth.

City arrive after somehow drawing their last game at home to Spurs. They will be annoyed with those two dropped points, especially as their main rivals to the title, Liverpool, sit on top of the league.

And Bournemouth look likely to cop their anger!

Raheem Sterling has started the season brightly, scoring four goals in his team’s two league games to date. We think Bournemouth could play very openly, offering City the opportunity to score a number of goals. We’ll take advantage of a power price from Paddy Power which offers outstanding value and take a two point punt on Sterling scoring a brace.

The late game sees Tottenham host Newcastle at the newly developed White Hart Lane.

Spurs were the recipient of a fortunate point at the Etihad last weekend, and started slowly against Aston Villa the week before. But they surely will have too much for a Newcastle side which has lost its opening two games, including a very disappointing beating by Norwich last time out.

Harry Kane was very quiet against City last time out, but scored a brace in his last home game against Villa. We’ll take Tottenham’s hotshot to match that brace today.

Recommendations:

Bournemouth/Man City: Sterling to score twice, 2 pts, at 6/1, Paddy Power

Tottenham/Newcastle: Kane to score twice, 1 pt, at 11/4, Paddy Power
