Saturday Yankee: Feeling Hy…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Hyanna, (1425 Sandown), 1pt win, 10/1:

A very consistent filly usually seen at 12f, her last two 10f races have been here with a good second last year and a very close third in a tight mass photo here earlier this season. Just a pound higher and reunited with her 7lb claimer rider she looks sure to give of her best.

Jumira Bridge, (1350 Sandown), 7/1: has been in fair form but noticeable that in 20 handicap runs his only two wins have been his only two runs here, both off 88. Runs off 90 here and is well drawn in stall 3. Jockey Oisin Murphy takes the ride and he can get the day off to a good start.

Oh This Is Us, (1410 Chester), 11/4: won this race last year easily and looks well treated here on a 3lb lower mark. Has been running well in suboptimal conditions of late, but now returns to his happy hunting ground nicely drawn and looking likely to defend.

Atyaaf, (1550 Beverley), 7/1: came fast and late to pip today’s favourite Sheepscar lad over this course and distance recently. Has to confirm that form with only a 1lb weight turnaround to overcome. That could easily happen and he is probably not favourite only due to his inconsistency, but Beverly course form also has a short head defeat here prior to the win, so he doesn’t lack for consistency under these conditions. Drawn well and has a big chance.
