Tuesday Yankee: Reach for the stars…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Ocean Reach, (1645 Chepstow), 1pt win, 6/1:

She has been toiling along at basement level but running above herself in a few recent runs. That was even more noticeable here last time when staying on from last to finish third. Runs off the same mark here and gets the useful 7lb claim of Isobel Francis.

De Little Engine, (1530 Brighton), 2/1: loves this track and is closely weighted on various form lines with several of these opponents. Is the most consistent of those here, and should run well, and the 5lb claim of Fallon is gold dust and can make the difference.

Aluqair, (1545 Chepstow), 7/4: lightly raced 3yo makes his handicap debut after a campaign in novice events. Won well last time from a Gosden favourite who looks likely to boost that form in the preceding Chepstow event. A mark of 83 is a bit of a guess, and with his weight for age allowance he should be too progressive for these more exposed rivals.

Harry Hurricane, (1800 Windsor), 4/1: likeable veteran who seems to have hit form this summer culminating in a smooth win here last time over course and distance. Hasn’t been badly punished for that and can confirm the for. With the runner up. Stall 1 looks good, and Fallon makes the journey from Brighton to take the ride.
