Premier League: Run with Richarlison…

There are a couple of Premier League matches to entertain us today, starting with Everton‘s trip to Bournemouth.

We’re not quite sure what to make of both of these sides. Inconsistency seems to be the main constant! Everton were impressive in their win over Wolves last time out but flopped at Aston Villa before that, while Bournemouth beat Villa but lost to both Man City and Leicester.

The bookies have Everton as favourites to win this game, but we’re less sure. That said, we think there will be goals. Richarlison burst into life last weekend, scoring twice. And we think the Brazilian star will carry the confidence these goals must have given him into today’s game. We’ll take him to score for Everton this afternoon.

The late game today is something of a London derby as Watford host Arsenal. The home team will have a new(ish) manager for this clash, as they have just reappointed Quique Sanchez Flores after parting company with Javi Garcia a few days ago. Flores had previously been with the Hornets in 2016.

A new man in charge can often lead to a boost in performance but we’re going to stick with the Gunners for this clash. Watford have lost five of their six Premier League home matches against today’s opponents and are in a middle of a bad run.

With Alexandre Lacazette out through injury, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is likely to go through the middle for the Gunners, and we think that’s a good thing.

He has scored 12 in his last 13 games in all competitions, and we’ll take the 15/4 on offer that he opens the scoring.

Recommendations:

Bournemouth/Everton: Richarlison to score anytime, 1 pt, at 2/1, BoyleSports

Watford/Arsenal: Aubameyang to score first, 1 pt, at 15/4, bet365
