The Premier League weekend starts early tonight, with a south coast derby as Southampton host Bournemouth.
There’s not much between these two sides – Southampton lie in 10th and Bournemouth one place above – and both come into this game on the back of morale-lifting wins last time out.
That said, four of the last five meetings of these two sides have resulted in a draw, including this fixture last year which ended 3-3. Thus a draw today may be the sensible bet.
However, we’re not going down that path. Instead we’re taking a view that this match could be highly fought between two close rivals. Bournemouth midfielder Phillip Billing has been booked twice in his last three Premier League games, and he will be right in the middle of the struggle. We’ll take him to see yellow again.
