Monday night football in the Premier League sees a high profile clash, Manchester United versus Arsenal at Old Trafford.
It’s true both teams no longer occupy the elevated perches they once ruled from, but there’s still plenty of interest in the game.
Arsenal have had a poor record in these away matches against the so-called top six, and they are without a win in their last 12 away games versus Manchester United. But this may be a good time for them to visit. United have lost three of their last six home matches and are likely to be without key strikers Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
With this in mind we’re going to side with the visitors. Paddy Power offers 11/1 that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scores scores first and Arsenal win the game. This appeals, but if he was to score first the thought of this Arsenal defence holding out against a pressing home team gives us kittens. So we’ll stick with the Gabonese striker to net first – he’s scored 13 goals in his last 13 Premier League starts – with William Hill offering an enhanced 5/1.
Recommendation: Aubameyang to score first, 1 pt, at 5/1, William Hill
