The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Bo Samraan, (1520 Pontefract), 1pt win, 7/2:
This is a fairly well bred Mark Johnston trained colt who surprisingly came up short of this high 70s rating earlier this season. Returns now after a lengthy break and on much softer ground. The combination of freshening him up and softer ground could be the key to unlocking the higher rating his breeding demands.
Grand Rock, (1550 Pontefract), 7/4; the lightning form of trainer Beckett makes Wyclif interesting. But this will be a real stamina test and that looks to be Grand Rock’s forte. He look set to deliver.
Taxmeifyoucan, (1620 Pontefract), 4/1: Came good last time over hurdles and could be dangerous off this flat rating. Should relish the long distance and his stable remains in good form.
Gamesome, (1720 Pontefract), 8/1: was a long standing failure before finally registering some wins early this season. Came back to form last time and has a strong chance of reversing the form with favourite Militia on this stiffer course.
