The Champions League returns tonight, with Tottenham and Manchester City representing the Premier League.
City take on Atlanta at the Etihad having won both of their opening games, in direct contrast to today’s opponents. City have defensive issues, and Atlanta are no mugs (they lie third in Serie A) but the attacking potential of their forward line should be enough to see another win.
Raheem Sterling has scored 13 goals from the start of the season for both club and country – he’s been arguably City’s most important player. SkyBet offers an enhanced 9/2 that he scores a brace. We’ll be on that.
Tottenham have had a disappointing start to the season, and conceded seven during their last outing in this competition. This time, however, they face Red Star Belgrade instead of the sheer class of Bayern Munich.
Spurs need to win this game, and could welcome back Christian Eriksen after injury. That said defensively they have been in disarray this season, and were lucky to get away with a draw at home against Watford last weekend.
Tottenham could use this game to start winning again, but the 12/1 available for an away win seems too big to miss.
Recommendations:
Manchester City/Atlanta: Sterling to score twice, 1 pt, at 9/2, SkyBet
Tottenham/Red Star: Red Star to win, 1 pt, at 12/1, Ladbrokes
