Champions League: Champion Callum…

The Champions League continues tonight, and subscribers will have the opportunity to play with their winnings from Raheem Sterling’s scoring feats last night.

Chelsea have an early kickoff in Amsterdam when they take on Ajax. The Blues are flying high at the moment, having won six in a row in all competitions. Last year’s beaten semifinalist will undoubtedly cause problems, but the pace Chelsea have up front is likely to be the deciding factor.

Tammy Abraham has been scoring for fun, but his odds reflect this. Instead we’re going to side with Callum Hudson-Odoi. The winger has recovered well from injury and has become a key member of the Blues team. He is likely to get chances on the break, and we’ll take the 15/4 on offer that he scores today.

Liverpool kick off later in the evening and have an away game against Belgian side Genk. The Reds have a poor away record in the Champions League of late, despite their recent success, winning only one of their last 10 fixtures on foreign fields. They also disappointed at Old Trafford on Sunday, relying on a late goal for a point.

It’s true Liverpool have a strong record against Belgian sides, winning all five of their previous clashes, and they are likely to welcome back their Egyptian star Mo Salah from injury. But there does seem to be a strange lack of confidence away from home at the moment. They are a hefty 11/1 to lose tonight’s game, but we’re not sure today’s opponents are strong enough to pull this off.

Instead we’re going to side with a surprise choice to net tonight. Defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip have been left at home due to illness, and this makes it likely Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren will be recalled. Set pieces have been one of Liverpool’s strengths this season abnd towering centre back Virgil van Dijk is top priced 7/1 to score. Lovren on the other hand is 14/1, and we’ll side with him.

Recommendations:

Ajax/Chelsea; Hudson-Odoi to score, 1 pt, at 15/4, Betway

Genk/Liverpool: Lovren to score, 1 pt, at 14/1, Paddy Power
