The Premier League weekend starts early as Southampton host Leicester tonight at St. Mary’s Stadium on the south coast.
The Foxes have started the season in fantastic form, and currently lie in third place in the league. They were unlucky to concede a last minute penalty to lose at Anfield in their last away game, but this will be different as they will be expected to produce tonight.
Buoying Leicester up will be their recent matches against the hosts. They have scored six goals on their last two visits to Southampton, conceding just two. The Saints, on the other hand, have the worst home record in the division – gaining just one point and failing to keep a clean sheet.
With this in mind we’re going to side with the away team.
Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has been scoring again this season, but only one of his six league goals have come away from home. Instead we’re going to bank on James Maddison finding the net. He was recently called into the England squad but missed out on a cap due to illness. He’s back now and will be bursting to impress.
Maddison to score, 1 pt, at 7/2, Paddy Power
