The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Show Palace, (1420 Nottingham), 1pt win, 11/4:
A veteran sprinter who loves the mud and loves this track. Has soft ground form here of 315311, and looked in top form when narrowly beaten from an unfavourable draw at Musselburgh last time. This heavy ground is his bread and butter and he can go in again.
Perfect Myth, (1340 Fakenham), 4/1: carries top weight after some fair first season novice efforts. Returned with a front running effort that saw her fade late on at Stratford. Can improve for that effort, and this sharp track should suit her front running style, as does the jockey skills of Bryony Frost. Worth supporting.
Buriram, (1450 Nottingham), 7/2: A trio of 3yos with soft ground form dominate the market. Goshen and Theatro both have impressive soft ground credentials but Buriram may have the value edge. He has just one career win but that was on heavy at Carlisle and his second last time in very soft ground at Chester was another fine effort. Comes from the red hot Beckett yard and may cope best with this bog.
Para Queen, (1550 Nottingham), 6/4: filly hasn’t had much racing and showed massive improvement on heavy ground at Windsor last week when romping home by 7l. Turns out quickly on the same ground and the 6lb penalty for that win still leaves her 5lb well in on the rating earned at Windsor. Should be a shoo-in.
