NFL: Hopkins to star at Wembley…

The NFL comes to London this weekend, with the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Houston Texans at Wembley.

This is an AFC South clash, with the Texans marginally favoured. They trail the Indianapolis Colts in the division but have won five out of their eight games. The Jags have only won four games.

We like the Texans, and note that wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been on fire of late. He caught 11 passes for 109 yards last week and nine catches for 106 yards the week before. Paddy Power has him at 7/2 to catch for 100+ yards with at least one touchdown. We’ll be on that.

Later this evening we have the clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings.

The Chiefs have stuttered of late after an impressive start, hampered by the injury to star quarterback Patrick Mahoney. They gave also struggled defensively, particularly against the run.

In Dalvin Cook, the Vikings have the league’s leading rusher through the first eight weeks of the season. We think the Chiefs will find it very difficult to stop this power runner. He’s odds on to score a touchdown, and only 11/4 to score a brace. Therefore we’ll take Paddy Power’s 6/1 that he scores in each half.

Recommendations:

Jaguars/Texans: Hopkins to achieve 100+ receiving yards and score 1+ TDs, 1 pt, at 7/2, Paddy Power

Chiefs/Vikings: Cook to score a TD in each half, 1 pt, at 6/1, Paddy Power
