Wednesday Yankee: Looking for Trouble…

We won’t forget yesterday’s yankee for a while, we described it in detail in this link, suffice as to say we simply couldn’t have gotten any closer to the full house – desperately unlucky stuff, but it at least armed us for more cracks at the jackpot…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  He’s No Trouble, (1510 Chepstow), 1pt win, 5/1:

Was a good point to point winner and delivers a win over hurdles last season.  Looks the type to be a much better chaser and gets in here based on his hurdles mark.  Represents the flying stable of Kim Bailey and looks the day’s best bet.

Minnie Escape, (1300 Chepstow), 9/4:  hadn’t really shown much until an easy win here last week.  When a mare hits form she can be well worth following and her fixed penalty still leaves her very well in compared to her adjusted rating.  Worth backing to repeat.

Jasmin Des Bordes,  (1440 Chepstow), 4/1:  lightly raced maiden hurdler who made a decent seasonal debut recently.  Steps up in trip here and is young enough to still be on the improve.  Stable likes a winner here and this isn’t the strongest race.

Thunderstruck, (1545 Chepstow), 11/4:  an excellent novice hurdle stacked with interesting sorts.  Emma Lavelle’s novice had good soft ground form in bumpers and has had the benefit of a run this season when the only one to give a decent Nicholls novice a race at Wincanton.  Can make experience and fitness tell in these conditions.
