It’s Sunday, and that means NFL.
We have a couple of ideas to keep subscribers interested during the evening. First up, the winless Cincinnati Bengals travel to the Baltimore Ravens, in what could be a one-sided encounter.
The Ravens are currently 6-2 and come off bearing the defending Super Bowl champions Patriots last time out. They need to win to keep up their strong seeding in the AFC, while the Bengals have simply been rubbish.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been one of their strong offensive weapons, with his legs as well as his arm. He has scored four rushing TDs in his last three games, and ran for 152 yards including one TD last time these two teams met. He’s just over evens to score a TD today, but we’ll take a punt that he scores two against today’s hapless opponents.
The second match to look at is the Indianapolis Colts versus the Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins have been dreadful this season, but managed to stumble into their first win last weekend. Their defence is gradually getting better. And they now face the Colts who have lost regular quarterback Jacoby Brissett to injury. The QB is key to any team’s offence, and we think the Colts will struggle to put points on the board with a backup QB.
Given the paucity of talent in the Miami offensive pool, this could result in a low scoring affair. Paddy Power offer 9/2 that there are fewer than 30.5 total points, and we’ll be aboard that.
Recommendations:
Ravens/Bengals: Jackson to score to rushing TDs, 1 pt, at 6/1, Ladbrokes
Colts/Dolphins: Fewer than 30.5 total points, 1 pt, at 9/2, Paddy Power
