The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Theclockisticking, (1440 Kempton ), 1pt win, 4/1:
One of our favourites but he was unable to register a win last year over 3 miles albeit 6th at Cheltenham and 5th at Aintree demonstrated he has a touch of class. Handles good ground and may just enjoy being ridden aggressively over this slightly shorter trip.
Baupame (1200 Fairyhouse), 5/4: Much the best of these over hurdles. Has been busy chasing the divisions best, but now tries fences and can break his duck on chasing debut.
Ecu De La Noverie (1405 Kempton), 7/2: This race looks sure to be run at a strong gallop and the emphasis will be on good jumping. Ecu De La Noverie is lumbered with his amateur owner-jockey, but that was the case all last year so his rating accounts for that. Was pretty experienced over fences in France and can use that to good effect here.
Catch The Cuban, (1550 Kempton), 5/1: Juvenile hurdler who receives a whopping 16lbs age allowance. Hasn’t done too badly in hurdles runs to date and gets the 8lbs claim of his young riser, making a composite 24lbs of allowances. That has to make him competitive unless it becomes bottomless.
