The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Rapper, (1335 Market Rasen), 1pt win, 7/2:
He reappeared at Cheltenham recently in a race that has already started to work out well. Was a length behind today’s rival Back On The Lash there but that one had a fitness advantage and we can expect Henry Daly’s 5yo to improve significantly. Looks a good thing.
Moonlighter, (1520 Wincanton), 7/2: a bit accident prone with a fall over hurdles and an unseat over fences last time when looking to have both races under control. Lizzie Kelly claims her valuable 3lbs but this is likely to come down to his jumping, if he finds a rhythm then he is palpably on a winning mark.
Jumira Bridge, (1605 Newcastle), 6/1: tons of pace on here in this sprint up this stiff 5f. That may play into the hands of one coming from off the pace and Jumira Bridge is best ridden that way. He has a handy low draw and if Callum Rodriguez can be patient enough he can pick up the pieces with a flashing late run.
Land Of Winter, (1730 Chelmsford), 2/1: not many horses enjoy staying trips on the all weather, but Rae Guest’s 3yo has thrived since stepping up to this trip, with two good runs at Southwell and a fair second at Bath last time. Ought to go well here and that can’t be said of many of his opponents.
