Nice win for yesterday’s nap Rapper (adv 7/2), let’s hope that’s the start of a run….
The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Orchardstown Cross, (1515 Ascot), 1pt win, 11/2:
He was improving at the end of last season, and continued that improvement in eye catching style when a smooth winner for us on return at Exeter. His rating continues to climb sharply as the handicapper tries to find his ceiling, but he could stay a jump ahead here and grab another win.
Master Debonair, (1405 Ascot), 6/4: was a fair bumper winner last year, coming up short at Cheltenham and Aintree. Obviously highly thought of and was favourite for his hurdling debut at Cheltenham last time when a fair second. This doesn’t look the strongest race for Ascot and he should be able to register the win.
Speed Company, (1545 Ascot), 4/1: useful flat horse was a bit of a nearly horse over hurdles but utilised his fitness to run out an easy winner at Chepstow in a decent hurdle race last time. Up 9lbs for that, but the runner up ran really well in the Greatwood last week, and he may have enough in hand to follow up.
Be Proud, (1630 Newcastle), 4/1: has been in decent form with 5 runs here sine the start of September recording figures of 41522. Only lost out by a short head last time and looks to have been drawn well here in a race that may not take much winning.
