Premier League: Manchester to win United battle…

There’s only one game in the Premier League this afternoon, as Sheffield United host Manchester United.

The Blades have been the surprise team of the season – they lie in the top half of the table, an impressive feat just after promotion, and possess one of the best defensive records in the league.

However, this defensive stability is threatened for the first time this season, as on loan goalkeeper Dean Henderson is illegible to play against his parent team and defender John Egan is doubtful with a head injury.

A few weeks ago this game would have been slanted towards the home team, but the Manchester variety of United are now starting to look a bit more like a team. This has coincided with the return from injury of Anthony Martial, who has provided a focal point up front. We think he will lead a forward line that could lead a changed Sheffield defence a merry dance.

SkyBet offers 50/1 for Martial to score first and Manchester United to win 2-1. That’s interesting, but we’ll stick with Manchester United winning and both teams scoring.

Recommendation: Manchester United to win and both teams to score, 1 pt, at 15/4, BoyleSports
