Monday Yankee: Shock to be confirmed…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:   Fleur Irelandaise, (1405 Kempton), 1pt win, 15/2:

Went off 100/1 when springing a surprise here last time.  The handicapper doesn’t quite believe it raising her just 6lbs to 134,  but she slaughtered them that day and could have been justifiably raised another 4lbs at least.  That would make her very competitive in this listed event, and given her proven fitness and track form she looks overpriced.

Book Of Invasions, (1255 Kempton), 10/3:  some promising maidens here mean that the two penalised former winners are backable prices.  It can be hard to defy a penalty, but there was a touch of class about Book Of Invasions when winning at Huntingdon and we are getting a fair price for a horse with the talent to follow up over this similar track.

Doctor Dex, (1430 Kempton), 5/2:  travelled well and won nicely on return at Ascot.  Is up 8lbs but comes from a stable adept at finding continuous improvement and has a course that should really suit.

Story Of Friends, (1540 Kempton), 9/4:  has some excellent novice form and has has a wind operation as part of this 5 month long break.  Returns well backed and with the eye catching booking of Jonjo Jnr who is well worth his claim but rarely seen for the Pipe yard.
