Tuesday Yankee: Getaway with the loot…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:   Tokyo Getaway (1410 Punchestown), 1pt win, 10/3:

Trainer Gavin Cromwell has used his Champion Hurdle success as a launchpad for an excellent Summer and Autumn campaign.  His runners in first time handicaps are especially dangerous and this mare has hinted a few times that there may be more under the bonnet especially over this longer trip:

Maxed Out King, (1320 Sedgefield), 9/2:  badly out of form and has seen his mark plummet to just 98.  Showed a squeak of something last time, his stable of Sue Smith being winnerless for the whole season – until a double on Sunday.  If she has them back buzzing then her horses are fantastically well handicapped – worth a shot.

Sandhurst Lad, (1350 Sedgefield), 12/1:  was a pretty consistent chaser on the Southern circuit for Warren Greatrex last year.  Has switched to the small yard of Allison Williams and understandably may have needed the run first time out at Carlisle.  Should be fitter for that and looks a big price if able to run to his previous form.

Joke Dancer, (1450 Sedgefield), 11/4:   Another from the long cold stable of Sue Smith, and if he can catch light in the manner of his stable companions in the last few days then he has the potential to be just about her best horse.  Has looked a chaser in the making and is on a fair mark for his chasing debut.
