Monday Yankee: Aidan perfect Bridge partner…

After a red letter weekend of top notch jumps action saw us land big returns at Newbury on Saturday and the elusive full house at Fairyhouse yesterday, we approach the week ahead with full spirits and full pockets to be faced with a wet Monday at Plumpton !! We’ll play the hand we’re dealt….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:   Kilconny Bridge, (1530 Plumpton), 1pt win 6/4:

Trainer Anthony Honeyball targets his best first time bumper horses here and at Fontwell, and it is often significant when he has Aidan Coleman booked.  This was a fairly expensive Irish point winner from a decent family and it seems of further significance that the yard are happy to run her against the boys getting a 7lb claim rather than the often easy pickings of mares only bumpers.

Longhousesignora, (1330 Plumpton), 7/2:  potentially nicely treated if back to her best.  We thought we might see that at Ludlow last time but she never got in a blow.  Steps back up to 3m and has the cheekpieces on as well as Charlie Deutsch in the saddle, they maybe the triggers she needs in a very poor race.

The Tin Miner, (1430 Plumpton), 6/1:  won this race last year and is just 2lbs higher.  Has now switched to trainer Chris Gordon and makes stable and seasonal debut here.  Must be fair to expect him to be ready first time to win a race that would be an obvious target and his in form new yard may well find improvement.

Scrutinise, (1500 Plumpton), 7/2:  came desperately close to breaking his hurdling duck when going down in a blanket finish at Market Rasen last week.  Travelled well there and this looks an easier task.  Jockey Page Fuller is well worth her 3lb claim.
