Premier League: Zaha to fly high for Eagles…

The Premier League has a round of fixtures this midweek as part of an offering to Amazon, starting with two games tonight.

First up is Crystal Palace hosting Bournemouth. The Eagles have been showing some form of late, winning away from home at Burnley last time out – not an easy task!

This run has coincided with Wilfried Zaha getting on the scoresheet. He’s netted in his team’s last two league games, and we’ll take a punt that this run continues tonight. He’s best priced at 11/4 to score anytime, but in a potentially low scoring match we’ll take a chance that he nets the opener at an enhanced 8/1.

The latter game sees Manchester City travel just down the road to take on Burnley.

City have hit a sticky patch and their draw against Newcastle on the weekend means they are now 11 points behind leaders Liverpool in the title race. They need to win.

Burnley suffered a surprise home defeat to Palace last time out and will be keen to give a good account of themselves. But we think City will prove to be too strong.

Kevin De Bruyne has come to the fore of late, proving his class when City have needed it in the absence of leading goal scorer Sergio Aguero. He has scored in his team’s last two league games, including a stunning strike on Sunday.

William Hill have doubled their odds that the Belgian scores from outside the penalty area, to 8/1 from 4/1, and we’ll try that.

Recommendations:

Crystal Palace/Bournemouth: Zaha to score first, 1 pt, at 8/1, William Hill

Burnley/Manchester City: De Bruyne to score from outside the penalty area, 1 pt, at 8/1, William Hill
